What VASER liposuction is
VASER is ultrasound-assisted liposuction. Ultrasound energy loosens fat cells before they are removed, which allows the surgeon to work more selectively around the muscle and contour lines rather than simply reducing volume. It is a surgical procedure carried out under clinical conditions, not a treatment room service, and it is planned around the shape you want rather than a number on a scale.
Who it is for
It suits people close to a stable weight who have specific areas that never change: the lower abdomen, flanks, bra line, inner thighs, arms or chin. It is not a weight-loss method and it does not treat loose skin. If your goal is better definition in an area you have already worked on, VASER is the tool for that job.
When it is needed
Most clients come to us after months or years of consistent training and diet with one or two areas that refuse to respond. Others come after childbirth or significant weight loss, where fat distribution has changed shape. Timing also matters practically: you need a clear diary for the first two weeks and access to drainage sessions afterwards.

Areas commonly treated
Abdomen and waist, flanks and love handles, upper and lower back, bra line, arms, inner and outer thighs, and the submental area under the chin. Multiple areas are often treated in one session, which is agreed during surgical planning rather than added on the day.
Ultrasound-assisted versus traditional liposuction
Traditional liposuction relies on mechanical disruption alone. VASER applies ultrasound energy first so fat is emulsified before removal, which allows more selective work near the surface and around muscle definition. The trade-off is that recovery still involves swelling and fluid movement, which is why the drainage programme is not optional in our view.
Compression, garments and the recovery timeline
Compression is worn for weeks, not days, and the fit matters more than the brand. Swelling typically peaks in the first week, reduces substantially over four to six weeks, and the contour continues refining for several months. Drainage sessions are more frequent early on and taper as the tissue settles.
Combining with other treatments
Recovery commonly includes manual lymphatic drainage and fibrosis management, and some clients later add Brazilian wood therapy for maintenance contouring once fully healed and cleared. Skin treatments such as mesotherapy or microneedling are unrelated to the surgery and can run on their own schedule.
